Our shop is just a stones throw away from Muncy Creek, near the historic John Brady's Fort site (built 1977) and the massacre site of Captain John Brady. Muncy, PA is the cross-roads of many Native American paths and is rich in history, such as being the past home of the 84th Pennsylvania, which fought in the war between the states.

North East Trade Company, Home of the "Old Trapper" In 1974, John DeWald Sr. and his family, began to attend many Muzzleloading events across the state of Pennsylvania. One-year later, John began selling shooting supplies and pre-1840 merchandise at rendezvous. In 1976, he converted half of his two-car garage into a small store that carried important supplies for Muzzleloading Enthusiasts. In 1985, a friend and supplier of the DeWalt family passed on and the urgent suggestion from customers, the store was enlarged and the North East Trade Company officially began. |
